Well the rumours had been flying around and there is never smoke without fire. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the deal today and will own about 75% of the shares with Ross Brawn staying on as Team Principal.

The future remains uncertain for Jenson as the German bosses look for a German driver to head up the team next year. Will McLaren see both British drivers at the same stable, will Jenson be happy to play second  fiddle to Lewis, lets wait and see.
